The c-factory's process

To begin the process, users register themselves with a transponder, such as a student ID card, and create an individual pickup configuration. This information is stored in the cloud and retrieved through the transponder before each configuration step.

After the pickup's cabin is injection moulded, a robot arm feeds it to the laser unit, which then writes the QR code on its roof. At the milling machine the chassis production is triggered. The truck bed is individually 3D printed. A quality test regarding dimensional deviations and a functional check on the inclined plane follow the complete assembly of all parts including wheels, screws and axle mounts.

Data is stored in the cloud during all production and test stages. Individual process information can be accessed during the production process as well as after the fact by the customer.
