Industry 4.0 - the intelligent interconnection of humans, machines and industrial processes. Interlocking production and moden information and communication technology creates the ability to customize products to customer specifications.

This user case is the first model at the FHWS to implement the „Industry 4.0 dimensions“ through a hands-on scenario. The project allows the user to design a small pickup truck with virtually endless configuration options. The truck is then produced by using a variety of manufacturing processes. Each machine is controlled via a transponder which processes the individual configurations directly from the cloud. The cloud stores the individually recorded process data so it can be easily accessed via a QR code which is printed on the pickup's cab roof.
